We
would like to inspire you to achieve your ideas sharing those local youth
initiatives which were implemented with our hosted youth worker, Bruno’s
supporting during the last some months in SIC project.
Workshop and social campaign
– Public transport of Veresegyház
The
group of young people living in Veresegyház organized “brainstorming” and workshop
for other local youngsters to find out and make clear why the local people are not
satisfied with the public transport in/to/from Veresegyház. They discussed and
presented what the main problems are, what the solutions could be, what the
community/the mayor/the public transport company could do to solve the
problems. The result of the workshop was to create a social campaign to sensitize
and to make people active in the community. The social campaign shows
the excuses of the public transport company why they do not solve the
problems. As a result the youngsters want to share their ideas and suggestions with the community,
the mayor and the public transport company.
E-book
– Let’s study English in easy way!
Some
youngsters decided to make people more interested in learning English language in
easy way using the Total Physical Response Storytelling (TPRS) method, what shortly means:
learning with actions and storytelling in a funny way. They created an e-book
with fairy tales to show how easy and diverting learning/practicing English could
be. Sharing this e-book they want to promote also the method to encourage youngsters
to use it when they want to teach/learn languages.
