Short summary of SIC project

At the beginning of August we finished our Youth in Action project in what we hosted an Italian youth worker, Bruno to be part of our team for half a year. We already put some news about SIC project before but we would like to show shortly its activities and main aims as a summary.

Do you know why is the project called SIC? Because in the project Bruno was The Spy, the Informator and the Coach :)
We will explain better!

In the project we implemented 3 main activities by/with Bruno:

1.  The Spy: Learning everything about the process of how to send volunteers in European Voluntary Service (EVS) Programme with the support of TE IS Foundation.
As an EVS sending organization, we shared our experiences with Bruno in this field as well as he helped us to recruit new candidates for EVS. The aim was that after this project Bruno can work as an EVS coordinator for his Italian organization.

2. The Informator: Developing and presenting information campaign in the topic of the European citizenship and active participation among young people in secondary schools or community places.
Bruno made his information campaign in eight secondary schools and in some community places in Budapest (e.g. Radar Youth Office, European Day event) reaching approx. 300 young people. The aim was to strengthen the awareness of European citizenship in young people and to support them to be more interested in European youth opportunities, rights, programmes and mobility. He created also 3 prezi presentations for the campaign what you can watch in “EU information campaign” blog post.

3. The Coach: Coaching (supporting and coordinating) two local youth initiatives achieved by two informal groups of young people from the ideas to the end of their implementation.
Bruno supported two groups of young people to implement their ideas. You can read more about this activity in “RISE-UP competition of ideas” and “Local youth initiatives” blog posts. The aim was to foster the participation of young people, to develop their creativity and entrepreneurship, to give intercultural experiences and to provide the opportunity to learn new methods, to acquire new competences by/during their local initiatives.

If you would like to know more details about Bruno and his youth work you can listen to the interview with him made by Civil Radio in July on the next link:
