Another TE IS agent in action :-) - Juci on EVS vol1.

Ahoj cobblestone streets, Hermelin cheese and cheap beers!

I just started my EVS in April in the beautiful capital of Czech Republic, in Prague, but since then I could get a tons of new experiences. I joined to the team of an environmental organisation, Youth and Environmental Europe (YEE) which is an umbrella organisation.

It means, this organisation controls and organizes the activities of 44 other organisations in 27 countries all around Europe with the similar purpose which is raising environmental awareness among youth. That is one of the reasons that YEE's office is located in Prague, because geographically it is the middle of Europe. In our cozy office, I work in a completely international atmosphere with a Spanish and a Russian girl and a Macedonian guy. We are dealing mostly with the organisations of Youth Exchanges, Training Courses and local actions in the topic of environmental education, but we have also several campaigns for example: recycling and climate change or green entrepreneurship campaigns. I have already learned how to manage photoshop and our website and been responsible for editing a booklet too.

All in all, we have many various tasks so I cannot be bored at all. About living in Prague: fortunately, Prague is full of expats so I could easily get many new friends and the nightlife is almost as vibrant as in Budapest. The Czech people are also really kind, especially when I try to communicate with them by using their tricky language. Last but not least, I guess I found my new favorite activity here, just sitting in the cobblestone streets of Prague, eating the Czech Camembert, the Hermelin cheese, drinking the cheap, but tasty beers and chit-chating with my new inspiring friends. :)
